Major Bills To Defeat After August Recess Of Traitors In US Congress

Devvy Kidd / News With Views – August 31, 2009

“However [political parties] may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion.” George Washington, Farewell Address, Sept. 17, 1796

The outlaws (Congress) will be back in session, September 8, 2009. Americans have been watching and participating in ‘tea parties’ throughout the states; see this short video of one in Sacramento. Some members of Congress have vocalized what many of these crooks, cowards and outright nitwits in Congress have been thinking: There is a revolution underway. It’s about time. Those of us who have been in the lonely trenches for decades hope everyone can concentrate on the critical issues and tune out the distractions – political bickering. Time is of the essence. As I have written so many times: We are in the fight for our very survival, both as a nation and in our personal lives.

The Internet continues to scream at full steam about the possibility of forced vaccinations regarding the manufactured crisis over the swine flu. I covered this in my last column, but let me reinforce something before I move on to the next issue. At this time there is no federal or state edict, Executive Order or anything else stating you, me or our children must be shot up with that deadly cocktail. The possible exception might be state health care workers and some federal employees. All states have exemption clauses in their laws regarding vaccines. See link one below under Flu category.

Anti-War Groups Turn Against Barack Obama After Afghanistan Surge

Alex Spillius / The Telegraph – August 31, 2009

There is rising disillusion among liberals and peace activists that a president who built his campaign on his opposition to the war in Iraq now views America’s other conflict as a “war of necessity”.

Mr Obama has already added 21,000 extra troops to the 38,000 stationed there by George W Bush. In the next few weeks, he is likely to receive requests from the Pentagon for more when Gen Stanley McChrystal, the US commander in Afghanisan, submits a report on the progress of the war.

It is expected to paint a grim picture and offer the president three options for action: increase troop numbers dramatically, increase them less dramatically or leave them as they are.

Some organisations that campaigned against the Iraq war are biding their time or are more inclined to side with the president’s argument that a stronger counter-insurgency effort in Afghanistan is in US national interests.

But others have run out of patience, and though they know they will not yet fill city centre streets with protestors, they plan to hold marches and smaller events such as forums with war veterans and troops’ families, as well as lobbying members of Congress.

“As progressives feel more comfortable protesting against the Obama administration and challenging Democrats as well as Republicans in Congress, then we’ll be back on track,” Medea Benjamin of the anti-war group Code Pink said.

Perry O’Brien, president of the New York chapter of Iraq Veterans Against the War, said: “In the next year, it will more and more become Obama’s war. He’ll be held responsible for the bloodshed.”

A Primer On Martial Law – Four Definitions Of Martial Law Explained

Dr. Edwin Viera, Jr., Ph.D., J.D. / News With Views – August 31, 2009

It is difficult these days not to come upon some pessimistic patriotic commentator expressing the fear that something called “martial law” may soon be imposed on this country, as the General Government’s response to a new “terrorist attack”, or to the economic and social chaos arising out of a collapse of the monetary and banking systems, or to some other dire event that frightens hapless Americans into trading a sure and certain loss of their liberties for a dollop of conjectural safety.

An optimistic patriot might scoff at such fears. But both pessimists and optimists typically share the same implicit first premise: namely, that the form of “martial law” they have in mind is legitimate. Most of the time, this is a rather glaring and dangerous error.

In legal analysis, definitions of terms make all the difference. And “martial law” can be defined in at least four ways:

Scientists Design A Spacecraft To Save Earth From Asteroid Collision

Richard Gray / The Telegraph – August 29, 2009

Heroic missions to stop life on Earth from being wiped out by an asteroid have become a favourite theme for Hollywood disaster films. Now, a team of British engineers have designed a real-life spacecraft to save the world from destruction.

Their invention, called a “gravity tractor”, would be deployed when an orbiting rock is detected on a collision course with Earth. The spacecraft would intercept the asteroid and position itself to fly alongside it, just 160ft from its surface.

From this position, the 10 tonne craft is able to exert a small gravitational force on the rock, pulling the asteroid towards it. By gradually modifying its course, over several years, the gravity tractor is able to slowly shift the asteroid’s trajectory enough to ensure it misses the Earth.

Details of the planned craft come just weeks after an asteroid or comet was found to have ploughed into Jupiter, which is a giant gas planet, leaving behind a vast impact scar – estimated to be about the same size as the Earth – in its atmosphere. Scientists believe it is only a matter of time before an asteroid comes close enough to the Earth to be a threat.
